what this is all about

Hi reader. :)

I'm Andrea, and this is my blog that I've been dreaming about for years and I'm finally doing something about it.

I don't have to tell you that we live in an over the top world. I mean, take a look at the parties people are throwing for their one-year-olds who won't even remember it, and you get a pretty good picture of it.

Here's the thing though. I LOVE THE CUTE ONE-YEAR-OLD PARTIES. Like, I really really love them. I don't scroll through social media and roll my eyes about the really awesome decorations and the cupcakes that match it all, and feel like I don't measure up. In fact, I'm taking mental notes, and figuring out how I can make it more affordable and a whole lot easier. :)

I don't want to eliminate cute parties from the world. Trust me. But I DO want a place where I can put my versions of other ideas out there for those of us who really love to create and craft, etc, but just don't have the time or money to make things look like a "typical" Pinterest-worthy post.

Sometimes it'll just be me creating something I like and letting you know if it's hard or easy or fun or horrible.

I'm NOT a perfectionist. If you are, I'm going to drive you CRAZY. For me, it's all about making things simpler and more affordable, but still cute. It's never perfect. But always good enough. :)

So, this is where I'm going to write about what I'm doing. I have just about zero original ideas, so I'm always searching for other people's ideas that I can tweak for my own version. You'll primarily find birthday party ideas (and cupcakes!!), home decor, holiday stuff, and an occasional recipe.

I'll be linking to the tutorials I use, and trying to keep it simple so you don't have to scroll through a million stories of when I was a 5-year-old, or the deep seeded issues of my heart that make me desire cheap and easy in every area of my life. Because there's nothing worse than NOT FINDING THE INFO YOU WANT in a super long blog post.

But I'll also warn you that I like to write and I can be a little ramble-y... ha! :)

Anyway, this is what my heart loves. Simple but still really stinking cute. Hope you stay awhile and poke around a bit.
